Jodi Thomas - Founder of Primally Nourished
My journey began in the darkest of places. Once bedridden with what doctors labeled "incurable" fibromyalgia, I was trapped in a body that felt foreign to me. The pain was relentless, the fatigue overwhelming, and the medical community offered little hope beyond managing symptoms with medications that brought their own set of challenges.
For years, I cycled through specialists, treatments, and medications. Each promised relief, but none delivered lasting results. I was told to "learn to live with it," to accept a diminished quality of life as my new normal. But deep inside, I knew there had to be another way.
The turning point came when I discovered the hidden connections between food and my symptoms. Through extensive research and careful experimentation, I uncovered that histamine intolerance and oxalate toxicity were the root causes of my suffering. It wasn't just about what I was eating—it was about understanding how my body was processing these compounds.
The road to recovery wasn't easy. It took years of trial and error, of learning to listen to my body's signals, and of developing a deep understanding of how food sensitivities impact every aspect of health. But gradually, I began to heal. The pain subsided, energy returned, and I reclaimed the life I thought I'd lost forever.
Today, I'm not just surviving—I'm thriving. But my journey taught me that healing is possible when you understand the root causes of your symptoms. That's why I created Primally Nourished: to spare others the decade of struggle I endured and to provide the tools, knowledge, and support needed to heal naturally and sustainably.
Every resource on this platform, every recipe, every assessment tool has been crafted from my personal experience and extensive research. Because I believe that everyone deserves to understand their body's unique needs and to have access to the information that can transform their health—and their life.
"Your symptoms are not your fault, and they don't have to be your future."
